Sonnie and Memo Licona, Singers and Pourers, will be holding a Lodge at HMHC this coming Sunday, March 21st. Sonnie writes:
We will gather at 9:00 a.m. at High Mesa Healing Center to clear the area, begin the Fire, and cover the Lodge. Remember that the entire process is a prayer. We would love to have you there from start to finish.
Because we have had several new folks attending here are a few reminders:
1. Women on their Moon are welcome and encouraged to attend. They will not be able to participate in the Lodge but will be in a cedar circle close enough to feel a part of things. Please visit with new women before they arrive and let us know upon arrival. If you would like them to call me that’s fine. They will be honored.
2. Women wear a mid length skirt (over jeans is fine) during the preparations of the Lodge.
3. You will want to bring clothing to wear into the Lodge. Women wear moo-moo or t-shirt type dresses with their shoulders covered and modesty in mind. Men generally wear shorts. A bathrobe is a good idea during chilly weather.
4. Remember a towel for while you are in the Lodge.
5. It is customary to bring a tobacco offering for the water pourer, fire keeper, and singer. This can be purchased at most convenience & grocery stores. There are several brands – American Spirit, Bugler, Top etc… This is an energy exchange.
6. We celebrate the end of the Ceremony with a pot luck feast.
We look forward to seeing you all! If there are any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me."
