First Global Event for A Course in Miracles Students Builds Community

Beginning May 19, 2011 the Living A Course in Miracles tele-class offers the wisdom of eight beloved teachers followed by real-life assignments and support. Hosted by Reverend Jennifer Hadley, teachers include Colin Tipping, Marci Shimoff, David Hoffmeister, Paul Ferrini, Gary Renard, Lucia Espinosa and Earl Purdy.

Living A Course in Miracles is the first global tele-class dedicated to serving A Course in Miracles students. The tele-class will start Thursday May 19 and run through July 7, 2011. Thanks to sponsors and volunteers, all presentations are free, and will be available for free replay for forty-eight hours. To participate, all you need is a phone or internet access.

Sheng Zhen Qi Gong will begin Friday, April 1, 2011, and will be held each Friday and Monday thereafter from 9:30-10:30 a.m. during the month of April.  It will be facilitated by Barbara Humble.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Donations are welcome.

LAUGHTER YOGA CLUB

Join Laughter Yoga Leaders Michele Caskey and Jan Butchofsky at HMHC beginning Thursday, March 10th, for Levity Infusion, an hour of laughing, breathing, clapping and moving where laughter is facilitated as an exercise and quickly becomes authentic, jubilant and fun through incorporation of eye contact and child like playfulness. Laughter Yoga is a means of learning to laugh for no reason without the use of comedy, humor or jokes. No actual yoga postures are involved, but the practice is yogic in that it brings balance to the body/mind/spirit as a unified whole. As Dr. Madan Kataria, the founder of the laughter yoga movement says, "When you laugh you change. When you change the whole world changes." Come see how adding more laughter to your life can lead to a greater feeling of harmony, connection and wellness.  The Laughter Yoga Club will meet the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m.  There is no charge, but donations are appreciated.

Michele Caskey is a Laughter Yoga Teacher, Expressive Arts Practitioner, Reiki Master and visual artist who has been studying and teaching the link between creative expression and energy healing for over 10 years. Her personal laughter practice has expanded her ability to process and release limiting thoughts and beliefs empowering her work as an artist and healer. Jan Butchofsky is a Laughter Yoga Leader, public speaker and photographer specializing in travel and culture. December Sweat Lodge

The December Lodge is Sunday, the 12^th.  Gather at High Mesa Healing Center at 9:00 a.m. to prepare the sacred area and start the fire.  This is such a special time of year and it will be good to connect with everyone!

Please remember to bring a tobacco offering for the water pourer, fire keeper(s), and singer.  There will be a pot-luck meal following the lodge.  It is cooler this time of year so it is a good idea to bring a robe to wear while we fill the Pipe.  Be sure you speak with any new women about honoring their moon time.  We welcome women on their cycle at the Ceremony but they won’t be able to participate in the Lodge.

If anyone knows any new folks who would like to attend please pass on the information.
